What this policy covers

This policy covers the iOS app China Ready Travel, the support and privacy pages for the app, and the optional in-app feedback submission flow. It does not replace the privacy policies of Apple, Trip.com, or other third-party services you intentionally use through the app.

Trip and usage data

  • Checklist progress and task status.
  • Phrase cards, address cards, emergency contacts, and downloaded travel packs saved inside the app.
  • Arrival, departure, visa, preferred city, and similar trip-prep settings.
  • Travel memory entries, including notes and photos you choose to attach.
  • Lightweight in-app event logs used locally for app behavior and debugging support.

By default, this information is stored on the device and is not automatically sent to the developer.

Current release scope

No user-facing cloud sync in the current version

The current App Store release is described and supported as a local-storage app. Core trip data is kept on the device instead of being presented to users as an active cloud sync feature.

If a future release introduces user-facing cross-device sync, this policy will be updated before that behavior is presented as a shipped feature.

Optional feedback

What can be sent to the developer

If you submit feedback from inside the app, the message you enter is sent to the feedback backend. You can also choose to include diagnostics and an optional screenshot.

  • Feedback category and message content.
  • Optional screenshot you attach.
  • Trip type and arrival date if present in the feedback payload.
  • Whether the app had limited connectivity when you sent feedback.
  • Optional diagnostics such as app version, build number, device model, and iOS version.

External services used by the app

  • Optional real-time FX, weather, and air quality lookups when you use those features while online.
  • Optional in-app feedback submission and screenshot upload through the configured feedback backend.
  • Apple services when you open addresses in Apple Maps or use Apple address suggestions.
  • Partner travel links when you choose to open them.
Permissions

Device permissions

Camera Used to scan QR codes and to capture images for translation tools where available.
Photos Used when you choose travel memory photos, attach a feedback screenshot, or import images for translation.
Microphone Used for voice translation and spoken communication tools if you choose to use them.
Speech recognition Used to convert voice input to text for translation-related features if you choose to use them.
Notifications Used for optional local reminders related to trip preparation and timing.
Affiliate links

Referral and partner links

Some travel service links in the app are affiliate links. When you tap those links, the partner service may receive referral or attribution parameters so a booking can be credited correctly. The developer may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

Any purchase, booking, or data submitted on a partner website is handled by that partner under its own policies and terms.

Retention

How long information is kept

On-device data remains until you delete it, clear it through app controls if available, or remove the app. Feedback records submitted to the backend may be retained as long as reasonably needed to review bugs, support requests, security issues, and product improvement.

Age and audience

China Ready Travel is built for general travel use and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe information from a child was submitted to the feedback channel in error, contact charles8260@hotmail.com.
